The ASUU Scholarship by the Academic Staff Union of Universities is a ₦200,000 financial support for indigent students of Nigerian universities.
The scholarship seeks to help academically talented but indigent students who are enrolled in Nigerian universities with the costs of their tuition, and other related study expenses.

Scholarship Details
Applications for the ASUU Scholarship Scheme are now open for undergraduate students at the University of Ibadan.
The Trustees and Principal Officers, at a meeting held at the National Secretariat on Saturday, 7 December 2024, approved the Scholarship Scheme for indigent students in Nigerian public universities.
The scholarship is valued at Two Hundred Thousand Naira (₩200,000.00) per beneficiary and shall be awarded to indigent students from each ASUU-UI branch.

Required Documents
To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;
Application Form
An application letter, not more than two (2) pages which must include the following:
Name of candidate
Course and year of study
State of origin
Why you believe you are the most qualified for the award
The applicant’s letter must be accompanied by the following:
A photocopy of the candidate’s current identity card
A letter from the candidate’s current Head of Department including current information on the candidate’s CGPA for the preceding academic session
copy of the candidate’s registration form for the current semester
Two (2) current passport photographs.
Scholarship Requirements
To be considered for the ASUU Scholarship, you must:
be indigent.
be a registered student of a university with a recognized ASUU branch
have a good academic performance (CGPA of 3.0 and above).
Benefits
₦200,000 will be awarded to 2 students from each university provided they are registered branches of the union.
This fund is to support applicant’s tuition, accommodation, and living stipends.
