China University of Petroleum Chinese Government Scholarships

The China University of Petroleum CSC Scholarship was set up to attract outstanding foreign students and promote the quality of international students' education.

In a bid to promote mutual understanding, cooperation, and exchanges in various fields between China and other countries, the Chinese government has set up a series of scholarship programs to sponsor international students, teachers, and scholars to study and conduct research in Chinese universities. China Scholarship Council (CSC), entrusted by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (MOE), is responsible for the enrollment and administration of these Chinese Government Scholarship programs.

China University of Petroleum is one of the universities approved by MOE to admit all types of Chinese Government Scholarship students.

To apply for the China University of Petroleum CSC Scholarship, you must;

• be a non-Chinese citizen and be in good health.

• be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for the master’s programs.

• be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for the doctoral programs.

The Chinese Government Scholarship at the CUP provides full scholarships, including;

• Tuition fee waiver

• Free on-campus accommodation

• ¥42,000 living stipend per year

• Comprehensive medical insurance

• Notarized highest diploma and transcripts (from the undergraduate program onwards)

• Research Proposal/Study Plan in China with a minimum of 1000 words in Chinese/English Download

• Two letters of recommendation

• UPC graduate supervisor's acceptance letter Download

• Copy of Passport Home Page

• Language proficiency certificate

• Non-criminal record report

• Supporting documents such as publications and awards

To apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship at the China University of Petroleum, applicants should;

  Register via the Chinese Government Scholarship Online Application System for International Students, choose Type B(CUP agency number 10425), complete the online information, and submit.

  Log in to the UPC International Student Online Application System, register a Chinese Government Scholarship applicant account, fill in your personal information, and upload the required application documents.
