2027 EWC Graduate Scholarship in USA (East-West Centre)

The EWC Graduate Scholarships are awarded annually in an international competition. Applications for the academic year 2027/28 competition have now opened and will close on December 1.

The East-West Centre Graduate Degree Fellowship provides master’s and doctoral funding for graduate students from Asia, the Pacific, and the United States to participate in educational, cultural, residential community building, and leadership development programs.

Since the basic purpose of the East-West Centre is to build a sense of Asia-Pacific community and prepare for future leadership roles, EWC graduate student fellows live together and interact with each other in both intellectual and social activities.

Students have to meet the criteria given below to apply for the East-West Centre Graduate Degree Fellowship:

Applicants should have the nationality of the United States, the Pacific Region, Southeast Asia, South Asia and East Asia.

Applicant must have 4year degree of Bachelor’s or equivalent degree from a U.S. college or University.

The applicant must have a 3.00 CGPA out of 4.00 CGPA in four semesters or 6 semesters in the Graduate degree or postgraduate degree.

  You must apply to the university for the following fall semester by December 1. The University of Hawai‘i launches its online application system (https://manoa.hawaii.edu/graduate/) on August 1 each year for admissions the following year.

  To ensure the timely processing of your EWC application, supporting documents for both your UH admissions office and department applications must be completed by January 10, regardless of whether the UH departmental deadline falls after that date.
