The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology is now accepting online applications for the Spring 2027 intake.
The GIST Scholarship Korea is open to Masters, Master Leading to Ph.D., and Doctoral Degree programs. More importantly, GIST is one of the few universities in Asia that do not require application fees.
The Scholarship includes tuition Fees, meals, accommodation, a monthly stipend, health insurance, and a Flight ticket. Below are more details about the GIST Scholarship requirements, financial benefits, and the application process.

To be considered for the GIST Scholarship, you must:
Be a domestic or international student
Hold a bachelors degree
Meet the English or Korean Language requirements of the university.
Benefits
The GIST Scholarship covers ;
Tuition fully supported: 3,607,000 won per semester
Monthly stipend for all international students
Student allowance: 140,000 won per month for M.S. students, 295,000 won per month for Ph.D. students
Meal allowance: nearly 120,000 won per month
※Students should have completed at least 9 credits in the previous semester for the above two.
International student allowance: 120,000 won per month
Research Stipend for students participating in research projects
6,400,000 won per year of M.S.
13,740,000 won per year of Ph.D
Housing (All Students)
Health Insurance (All International Students)
Annual medical checkup
Flight Reimbursement (All Incoming International Students)
