Harvard University Scholarships in USA 2027

Harvard University Financial aid is always available to your family – whether for your first year or your senior year.

The scholarships at Harvard University are awarded based on family income, not grades, resume, or personal statement. Once you secure admission, you are highly likely to get a scholarship.

Getting into Harvard, however, is competitive. With around a 4-5% admission/acceptance rate per year, the university seeks promising students who will contribute to the Harvard community during their college years and to society throughout their lives.

To be considered for the 2027 Harvard University Financial Aid, you must:

• complete the Common Application along with the required supplements.

• have strong academic credentials

• meet the English Language requirements of the university.

• have previously enrolled at a college or university after graduating high school

• have not previously graduated with a bachelor’s degree.

• have completed secondary school and are seeking their first bachelor’s degree.

• have the willingness to respectfully engage with differing ideas and opinions.

• show the ability to take advantage of the breadth of Harvard’s resources and opportunities.

• Harvard University offers several need-based scholarships for accepted candidates.

• Once you are accepted for a program, Harvard’s financial aid officers will work closely with you and your family to determine your demonstrated need and your family’s expected contribution.

• If your family makes $100,000 or less, Harvard is completely free — that covers tuition, food, housing, health insurance, even travel.

• For families with incomes up to $200,000, financial aid will cover at least the full cost of tuition.

• Financial aid will be available to students from families with incomes above $200,000, depending on individual circumstances.

To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;

• Common Application, which includes:

1. Subsets of questions

2. An activities list

3. Personal essay (Common Application prompts)

• Harvard College Questions for the Common Application. There are five required short-answer questions with 150-word limits for each

• $95 fee (or request a fee waiver)

• SAT or ACT – In exceptional cases when those tests are not accessible, one of the following can meet the requirement:

1. AP exam results

2. IB Actual or Predicted Scores

3. GCSE/A-Level Actual or Predicted Results

4. National Leaving Exams Results or Predictions

• AP or other examination results are not required, but may be submitted

• School Report (which includes a counsellor letter) and high school transcript

• Teacher Recommendations (2)

• Midyear School Report (after your first semester grades)

• Final School Report (for admitted students only)

To apply for the 2027 Harvard University Scholarships, interested and qualified candidates should;

  You are welcome to apply to Harvard using the Common Application, which opens August 1.

  You may apply to Harvard under either our Restrictive Early Action (REA) or our Regular Decision (RD) program, both of which allow you to compare admission and financial aid offers from other institutions and to wait until May 1 to make a final college choice.

  Restrictive Early Action candidates apply by November 1 and receive notification by mid-December.

  Regular Decision candidates apply by January 1 and receive notification by the end of March.
