Scholarship description

INTERPOL, the world’s largest international police organization, is inviting applications from graduates from all over the world to apply for its six-month paid internship.

The Interpol Interns are offered an allowance of EUR 700 and a transport subsidy of EUR 30 per month. An additional housing subsidy of EUR 170 per month will be provided to eligible interns.

Scholarship Details

INTERPOL is the world’s largest international police organization, with 196 Member Countries. Created in 1923, it facilitates cross-border police co-operation and supports and assists all organizations, authorities, and services whose mission is to prevent or combat international crime.

INTERPOL actively encourages applications from women and nationals of member countries that are currently unrepresented among our staff (please click on this link to access the list of countries). Candidates from these countries are particularly encouraged to apply. 

INTERPOL’s recruitment process is merit-based; hence, all hiring decisions are made considering the applicant’s qualifications and the needs of the Organization.

Scholarship Requirements

To be considered for the 2027 INTERPOL Internship Program, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

  • Be a national of one of INTERPOL’s 196 member countries.

  • Have attained the legal age of majority in their country of nationality.

  • Be enrolled in, or have graduated from, a post-secondary accredited academic institution within the past one year on the date of submission of their application in Business Administration, International Relations, Information Technology, Law

  • Master's level would be an asset.

  • Professional fluency in English and Arabic is required.

  • A good command of any other INTERPOL official languages (Spanish, French) would be considered an asset

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools is required.

  • Ability to take initiative

  • Ability to work in a multicultural team

Benefits

Selected awardees receive a comprehensive financial package that removes financial barriers:

  • Internship allowance of EUR 700 per month.

  • Transport subsidy of EUR 30 per month.

  • Eligible interns may receive a housing subsidy of EUR 170 per month.

  • Eligible interns may request enrolment in INTERPOL’s health insurance coverage at no additional cost.

  • Practical exposure to international police cooperation and project activities.

  • Experience in event organisation, project work and a multicultural environment.

  • Exposure to Microsoft Office tools and multilingual work.

Interns Responsibilities at INTERPOL

  • Support and coordination for NCBs;

  • Coordinate the activities of the Regional Bureaus and Liaison Offices;

  • Coordinate the implementation of cooperation agreements with regional bodies or entities;

  • Implementation of the recommendations from statutory regional conferences and business plans for the regions.

Throughout this internship, the selected applicant will provide support to the Directorate and its activities by:

  • Assisting in the processing, typing and formatting of correspondence and documentation arising from the work of the Directorate in the languages required for the post.

  • Assisting in the preparation and organization of international meetings and conferences, including the preparation of agendas, detailed programmes, participants’ lists, and providing assistance to the delegates, etc.

  • Assisting in the preparation and organization of project-related activities and project reporting

  • Be able to participate in meetings and conferences when necessary, obtaining feedback from them, making essential notes and content that may be useful to your manager or directorate, as well as providing linguistic assistance.

  • Assist in the preparation of statistical information as requested in the form of reports and charts concerning the activities of the directorate.

  • Carry out any other duty assigned by the supervisor
