The MasterCard Scholarship at Arizona State University will provide opportunities for young Africans to pursue master's programs in Innovation and Technology in the USA.
The fully funded scholarship covers all the costs related to tuition, accommodation, visa, flight, books, meals, and living expenses. The scholarship will also make provision for the application fees and process to the university as well as the cost of English Proficiency exams.

The Mastercard Foundation, in partnership with Arizona State University (ASU), will provide graduate scholarships to train 120 young African professionals at the master’s level for various programs over 5 years (2025 – 2030).
The MasterCard Innovation and Technology Scholarship is a fully immersive and traditional on-campus 2-year Master’s program with a focus on training EdTech experts for Africa.
While classes are in session, Scholars have the opportunity to work part-time with the Baobab team to gain hands-on experience implementing the strategic objectives of the Baobab Platform.

Scholarship Requirements
To be considered for the Arizona State University Mastercard Scholarship 2026 at Arizona, you must satisfy the following criteria:
Applicants must be a citizen of an African country committed to ethical leadership and demonstrated engagement in their community.
Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 33 on or before the application deadline.
Applicants must demonstrate a track record of leadership and service in their community.
Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence and ambitions that exceed one’s financial resources.
Applicants must have earned an undergraduate degree conferred by July 2027.
Applicants must have no prior or current master’s degree enrollment before or during the program.

Academic advising and support
Two-month internship between the first and second years
English language proficiency test voucher, if required
ASU graduate application fee waiver
30 Scholarships are available for students admitted for the 2027/2028 academic year, which will cover the full tuition fees, expenses for accommodation, and comprehensive support for the 2-year graduate program.
On top of financial support, Scholars will participate in activities as part of the wider Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at ASU, including leadership curriculum, individual mentorship, and other events and programming.
