Ashesi University and the Mastercard Foundation have been engaged in partnership since the launch of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Programme in 2012.
Ashesi was among the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program’s nine pioneering partners. Hundreds of Mastercard Foundation Scholars have enrolled at Ashesi University since the programme started.
In partnership with the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Programme, Ashesi and Arizona State University have a partnership that allows students to pursue an accelerated master’s degree.
Through this programme students can earn their undergraduate and master’s degrees in five years instead of the six it would usually take.

To be considered for the Ashesi University MasterCard Foundation Scholarship, you must:
Be a citizen of an African country
Have an excellent academic record
Demonstrate financial need
Exhibit leadership potential and a commitment to community service
