Maxwell King Scholarship at Monash University in Australia

The Maxwell King Scholarship (MKS) is a prestigious award named after Professor Maxwell King, who significantly contributed to graduate research at Monash University, including serving as the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research and Research Training) for eight years.

The MKS Scholarship aims to support PhD students by covering their living costs while they study at Monash University.

To be considered for the Monash University Maxwell King Scholarship, you must:

• Be an international or domestic student

• You must have submitted a scholarship application in the current year.

• You must meet Monash’s competitive scholarship selection process requirements.

• You must meet Monash’s English language proficiency requirements.

The Maxwell King Scholarship (MKS) offers a comprehensive package to support PhD students:

• Living Allowance (Stipend): $53,608 per annum (2026 rate)

• Research Allowance: To support the research activities of the student

• Relocation Allowance: Provided to eligible students who need to move for their studies
