Muslim Scholarship Fund in Nigeria (MSFN)

Applications for the 2025/26 MSFN Scholarship (Muslim Scholarship Fund Nigeria) have now commenced.

MSFN scheme serves the following main purposes, among others.

• Upgrade educational status and expertise among Nigerian Muslims in all fields of human endeavor.

• Seek knowledge to fulfill worship as vicegerent of Allah (SWT).

• Moral and economic upliftment of Nigerian Muslims youths.

• Encourage participation in community service by young Nigerian Muslim students.
  

To be considered for the MSFN scholarship, applicants must:

• Be Muslim.

• Be an indigene of one of the eligible states listed above.

• Be currently enrolled in a public secondary school.

• Be an active member of an Islamic organisation, such as the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), a local mosque, or a recognised non-profit Islamic or Da’wah organisation.

• Have obtained credit passes in at least five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in their most recent examination, specifically the SS2 third-term examination.

• Come from a low-income family.

• Undergraduate students get  ₦120,000 per year, while secondary school students get  ₦40,000 per year.

• The scholarship amounts may be reviewed annually, depending on the economic situation in Nigeria

The scholarship notice does not provide a separate list of documents to upload or submit. However, applicants should have information/evidence relating to the requirements ready when applying, particularly:

• Evidence of being an indigene of an eligible state

• Evidence of current enrolment in a public secondary school

• Most recent SS2 third-term examination result

• Evidence of Islamic organisation/community involvement, where applicable

• Information demonstrating financial need
