The Shell Assessed Internship is an excellent way to get to know Shell from the inside and immerse yourself in the energy industry. It can also help you decide what career is right for you, and give you access to full day-to-day involvement in actual projects, selected to match your interests and abilities.

Shell Internships offer several opportunities across Technical and Commercial, which includes Downstream, Information Digital Technologies, Finance and other business areas programme based on your study background, skills and preference.

The Shell Assessed Internship assigns a supervisor and mentor to successful applicants directly and undertake regular assessments throughout the internship to ensure you get the most from the experience.

To be considered for the Shell Assessed Internship, you must:

  • enjoy being challenged and welcome the opportunity to be innovative.

  • need to be good at absorbing information, analysing problems, making objective decisions, and coming up with original ideas.

  • have the drive, and resilience to get things done, the flexibility to work well as part of a team and the credibility to influence others. 

  • be an actively enrolled student who will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship or be in your penultimate year of study.
