The Student Venture Launchpad is a free online entrepreneurship and business grant programme designed to encourage innovation, self-employment and business development among undergraduate students in Nigeria and Ghana.
The programme will run for two weeks and feature practical learning activities to help participants understand how to identify business opportunities, assess customer needs, develop business models and prepare business proposals.
At the end of the cohort, participants who complete the required activities will receive a certificate of participation and may proceed to submit their business plans or proposals for review.
Eligible proposals will be assessed based on factors such as the problem being addressed, customer demand, feasibility, business sustainability and the proposed use of funds. Shortlisted participants will be invited to pitch their business ideas as part of the grant selection process.
The programme also provides consolation prizes for participants who fulfil the applicable attendance and participation requirements.
The Student Venture Launchpad aims to help undergraduates move beyond having business ideas to developing practical plans they can use to pursue entrepreneurship.
