TITECH International Graduate Scholarship in Japan (Tokyo Institute of Technology)

The applications for the Titech International Graduate Scholarship Program for the Spring and Fall 2027 intake are open. 18 academic departments of Titech are participating in this program. 

Students can apply without having prior knowledge of the Japanese language, as lectures are held in English. Interested and qualified candidates should apply for this opportunity as soon as possible.

With a diverse group of 18 academic departments participating in this program, students should be able to find a department in which to further their research, acquire broader knowledge and understanding, and conduct advanced long-term research in a field that best matches their interests and background.

To be considered for the Tokyo Institute of Technology Scholarship, you must:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution

• Apply for admission to the Tokyo Institute of Technology

• Have proficiency in the English Language

Available Scholarships include;

• Japan Student Services Organisation (“JASSO”): The Monthly scholarship amount is JPY 48,000.

• ADB-JSP: This scholarship is for the master’s degree programs only. The scholarship provides a monthly allowance of JPY 147,000 per month, a book allowance of JPY 100,000 per year, a thesis allowance of JPY 50,000 per year, travel expenses, medical insurance, and others. This scholarship is for the FALL INTAKE.

• Earth and Planetary Sciences: Master’s, Doctoral, and both (M, D, M+D)

To apply for the 2026 TITECH International Graduate Scholarship, interested and qualified applicants should;

  Before the application, find degree programs and research fields of interest, and search for possible academic supervisors.

  Make sure the name of the supervisor is available in the Application Guide.

  Get a letter of acceptance from the supervisor (This enables you to secure funding/scholarship for your program).

  Email a copy of the consent email/letter to the Admissions Division. You will receive a URL and online application link with a password.
