The 2026 UBA Foundation National Essay Competition awards scholarships worth a sum of ₦41 million to winners of the contest to enable them pursue undergraduate degrees in any institution of their choice in the country.

To be considered for the UBA Foundation National Essay Competition, applicant must:
be a Nigerian Senior Secondary school student
submit a passport photograph
submit a scanned copy of a means of identification (birth certificate, National ID, or passport)
complete the application form.
upload a handwritten essay of 750 words max (not typed).
Benefits
The prize for the UBA National Essay Competition is an educational grant to any African University of choice. The prizes include;
Winner: ₦15 million
First runner-up: ₦10 million
Second runner-up: ₦7.5million
Third runner-up: ₦5million
Fourth runner-up: ₦3.5million
