The University of Manitoba Graduate Scholarship awards up to $100,000 to international students seeking to pursue a Master’s or Doctoral degree at a Canadian university.
For up to 4 years, the University of Manitoba Scholarship will be offered to students who have demonstrated superior intellectual ability and achievement.

The University of Manitoba Graduate Scholarship is awarded each year from more than 2 million dollars in university graduate fellowships and is offered to full-time master’s and PhD students to recognise and support academic excellence.
The University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowships (UMGF) are offered to students who have demonstrated superior intellectual ability and academic accomplishment.
Students must be recommended by their department or unit to the Faculty of Graduate Studies for a UMGF.

Scholarship Requirements
To be considered for the University of Manitoba Scholarship Canada, you must:
have a minimum admission GPA of 3.0 to be considered for the award. Please contact your Department as they may have a higher GPA requirement.
have been admitted as full-time students without provision or have cleared provisional admission as a Master’s or PhD student in a graduate program at the University of Manitoba.
have secured an admission offer from the University of Manitoba.
Benefits
UMGF master’s awards are valued at $20,000 per year for 12 or 24 months, for up to a total of $40,000.
UMGF doctoral awards are valued at $25,000 per year for 12, 24, 36 or 48 months, for up to a total of $100,000.
Departments/units determine the value and duration of an award, and all recommended students must meet the eligibility criteria as outlined
